COL. Jose Valentin

A native of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Colonel Valentin was a military child and spent his youth at numerous military installations around the world. This included Redstone Arsenal, where he attended Grissom High School as a student in 1984-86 .  He was commissioned through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps in 1993 from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. He also holds a Master's Degree in Management from Florida Institute of Technology.

Highlights from his military assignments include: (FWD) Commander, Defense Logistics Agency - CENTCOM & SOCOM; Deputy Commander, 2nd Recruiting Brigade, and Battalion Commander, U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion - Miami; Battalion Commander, 14th Transportation Battalion, Vicenza, Italy; Commander, B Company, 143rd Ordnance Battalion, Edgewood, Maryland and Commander, B Company, 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd ID, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. His assignments also include other staff positions and deployments to Bosnia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, turkey and Qatar.

Colonel Valentin's military education includes the Command and General Staff College, Joint Planning Course, Strategic Planning Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Combined Logistics Officer Advance Course and Ordnance Officer's Basic Course and the U.S. Army Airborne School.
