CSM (R) Cedric B. Moore

Command Sergeant Major Retired (CSM (R)) Cedric B. Moore is a native of Huntsville, AL. CSM (R) Moore enlisted in the Army on 25 February 1986. He attended Basic Combat Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma under One Station Unit Training (OSUT). Upon completion of this training in June of 1986, he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 13F10, Fire Support Specialist.

His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (3rd Award),  Bronze Star (3rd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (10th Award), Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Arrowhead device, Southwestern Asian Medal (with 2 bronze stars), Iraqi Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (with numeral 4), NATO medal, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), and Kuwaiti Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Air Assault Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge, Drivers Badge (Wheeled), and Parachutist badge with gold star.  
 
His military and civilian education include Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Recruiting School, Air Assault School, Airborne School, Master Fitness School, First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff, and the Sergeants Major Academy. He has earned his Associates Degree in General Studies at Excelsior College and is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts. 
 
CSM (R) Moore has been on several training as well as combat deployments. His following training deployments are as follows; Honduras in 1987, Miami in support of Operation Hurricane Relief from Hurricane Andrew, Jungle Training in Panama in 1993, Bosnia in 1998 as part of a Stabilization Force, and Kuwait in 2002 in support of several training exercises leading up to Operation Iraqi Freedom. His combat deployments are as follows; 1989 in support of Operation Just Cause in Panama, 1990 in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Kuwait, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq, and 2011 and 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. 
 
CSM (R) Moore has been happily married to the former Michelle K. Perdikouris from Deptford, NJ for the past 30 years. He has three wonderful and awesome adult children, Cedric Jr., Jessica, and Christopher. 
 
After 32 years of honorable active federal service he retired from the United States Army as a Command Sergeant Major.
